John Baker is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the biosciences, healthcare, and consulting sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of IMU Biosciences since September 2024, John has held multiple senior positions at Abcam from August 2015 to September 2024, including Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Portfolio & Innovation, and Portfolio & Business Development. Additionally, John has contributed as a Non-Executive Director at SomaServe Ltd. and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Prior to Abcam, John worked at Bain & Company and was involved in academia as a Doctoral Student and College Lecturer at the University of Oxford. John holds a DPhil in Clinical Medicine from the University of Oxford and degrees in Veterinary Medicine and Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
