Daniel Durr, PE, PMP has over 10 years of professional experience in various industries. From 2009 to 2012, they worked at Best Buy as a MECP Certified Mobile Electronics Installation Technician, where they were responsible for properly installing car alarm systems, remote start units, audio equipment, GPS units, DVD players, and radar detectors. In 2012, they worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Flowserve Corporation, where they worked with an on-site team of Flowserve representatives and ExxonMobil personnel in an ExxonMobil refinery, assisting the Applications Engineer in analyzing seal and pump failures, and helping develop solutions to correct problems. That same year, they also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Georgia-Pacific LLC, creating detailed preventative maintenance checklists, conducting time and distance studies, and analyzing processes at the planar unit. In 2013, they worked as a Physics Teachers Assistant at Lamar University, where they instructed and motivated students, increasing their interest in the subject matter. From 2014 to 2015, they worked at TechnipFMC as an Engineer, where they assisted with the development of turnkey EPFCM Proposal for large LNG project, facilitated P&ID review, helped define basis of Man-Hour estimate, and tracked and updated Late Changes Log. From 2020 to 2022, they worked at Voltican, Inc. as Director of Operations, where they developed and established internal departments, processes, procedures, workflows, and execution strategies. Currently, they are working at Imubit as a Project Manager, where they are helping enable hydrocarbon processing Owners/Operators discover, engineer, and monetize process optimization opportunities, driving the optimization of refineries and downstream manufacturing facilities, and helping maintain a robust, cutting-edge PMO.
Daniel Durr obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lamar University between 2009 and 2015. Daniel then obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in November 2020 and a Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in March 2020.
