IMU/ICCS, Information Management Unit
Alexandros Tsafos is a researcher at the Information Management Unit of the National Center for Scientific Research (IMU/ICCS) since November 2023, focusing on the EU-funded “SWARMCHESTRATE” project, which explores application-level swarm-based orchestration across the cloud-to-edge continuum. Prior to this role, Alexandros served as a Junior Software Engineer at Software Competitiveness International S.A., where responsibilities included analyzing cloud offerings for the European Space Agency's (ESA) AI-ready multi-mission archiving project and developing a time series forecasting and anomaly detection system for another ESA-funded project. Additionally, Alexandros maintained ARM Linux software for a major telecommunications customer in a separate Junior Software Engineer role and served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the National Technical University of Athens, delivering SQL lab lectures and providing support to over 50 students. Alexandros holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, completed in 2023, as well as a high school diploma from Zanneio Experimental High School.

IMU/ICCS, Information Management Unit
The Information Management Unit (IMU) is a research unit of ICCS (Institute of Communication and Computer Systems). ICCS was established in 1989 by the Ministry of Education and the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. The mission of IMU is to enable the development of knowledge-driven organisations. We design, develop and validate innovative models, methods and tools that leverage the creation, sharing and use of information and knowledge at the individual, team and organisational levels.
