Somendra Chathurvedi

Somendra Chathurvedi has extensive work experience in software engineering and application development. Somendra is currently the Vice President of Application Development at iNDEMAND, a position they have held since May 2023. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the development of custom business applications, eliminating vendor dependencies, automating workflows, and reducing operating expenses. Somendra also played a key role in transforming the development methodology from waterfall to agile.

Prior to their current position, Somendra served as the Director of Software Engineering at iN DEMAND, starting in January 2019. In this role, they strategically led application development activities and executed projects to improve efficiency and eliminate dependencies on external vendors.

Before joining iN DEMAND, Somendra worked at 3rd Angle Technologies as a Software Architect Technical Lead from December 2003 to January 2012. Somendra managed new software design and implementation initiatives, with expertise in enterprise application development. Notable projects include developing a Content Management System (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM) System, and Workflow Management (WFM) engine.

Somendra also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Zensar Technologies from July 2001 to September 2003, and at NIC Inc. from July 2000 to June 2001. Somendra began their career as a Software Engineer at SATYAM COMPUTER SERVICES, LTD in July 1998, where they worked until June 2000.

Somendra Chathurvedi obtained their BTECH degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. Somendra completed this degree between 1994 and 1998.
