Robin Knight started their work experience at Ecolab in 2007 as a Microbiologist. There, they worked within a contract-based, quality control facility and maintained relationships with clients. Robin also produced reports and project proposals, interpreted data, and solved problems for a range of clients.
In 2011, Robin moved on to King's College London, where they held two roles. First, they were an Honorary Research Associate from October 2013 to October 2014. During this time, their research focused on the role of enterovirus infection in Type 1 diabetes, particularly from an immunological viewpoint. Robin used novel peptides to determine CD8 T cell responses and identified epitopes for future use in disease monitoring.
After that, Robin became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at King's College London from October 2011 to October 2013. In addition to their research duties, they had teaching responsibilities on the Immunology MSc course, oversaw a project, and presented at international conferences. Robin also contributed to consortia reporting.
Lastly, in 2012, Robin co-founded IN-PART and took on the role of Co-Founder and Director. At IN-PART, they strategically matched private sector businesses with outputs from university research. The company proactively showcased university technology to relevant decision-makers using an algorithm-led matching system based on NLP. The end date for this role is not specified.
Robin Knight obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Leeds between 2004 and 2007. Following this, from 2008 to 2012, Robin attended King's College London where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Immunology.
