Kevin Compher began their career as a Senior Advisor at the Wharton Small Business Development Center in 1998. Kevin later worked as a Data Scientist, Full Stack Engineer, and a Statistician in various organizations before founding OSpatial Systems in 2003. As the Founder and CEO of OSpatial Systems, Kevin led a team focused on spatial computing systems and climate models. Their career continued with roles at the University of Pennsylvania and the US Federal Government, where they managed technical teams, provided decision support tools, and led data science initiatives. Kevin then served as Managing Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, overseeing collaborative data science and engineering teams. Currently, Kevin is a Vice President of Technology at In-Q-Tel and a Foresight Institute Fellow, mentoring in space and neuro tech, AI, and Web3.

Kevin Compher holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. Kevin also has a Certificate in Securities and Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center, a Certification in Data Science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Systems Engineering and Operations Research from Naval Postgraduate School, and Graduate Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science with a focus on Distributed Computing from Harvard University.
