In the Deep is the first dance-theater production in Italy entirely dedicated to Latin and Ballroom disciplines, reimagined through the lens of contemporary expression, emotion, and stagecraft.

Produced by renowned choreographer and professional dancer Veera Kinnunen, and art directed by professional dancer Antonio Careri, the show brings together a cast of world-class performers who dance not to impress but to connect, to break boundaries, and to tell a story that speaks to every human soul.

The production challenges the polished, glittered image of traditional ballroom, revealing instead its raw, poetic core where physical connection becomes emotional truth, and choreography becomes language.

Across 60 minutes and 20 deeply crafted scenes, In the Deep guides audiences through a powerful journey: from solitude to desire, trauma to tenderness, collapse to rebirth.

Through striking visual backdrops, symbolic lighting, immersive sound design, and intentional dramaturgy, each scene becomes more than a performance, it becomes a portal. At key moments, the fourth wall breaks, inviting the audience to step inside the world of the dancers.

In the Deep is not just a show. It’s an emotional experience. An intimate mirror of the human condition, told entirely through movement.

Since its debut in 2024, the show has toured prestigious theaters in Italy and premiered onboard luxury cruise lines, earning praise for its originality, vulnerability, and narrative power.

With international ambitions and a universal message, In the Deep is now ready to meet the world. The team is currently seeking partners, producers, and visionary collaborators to expand its journey across global stages.

This is a show like you’ve never seen it before. This is dance with soul. This is In the Deep.
