Dr. Christopher Brian Currin is a Research Scientist specializing in machine learning and neuroscience at inait, with concurrent roles as a Steering Committee Member for SisonkeBiotik and Director of Deep Learning IndabaX South Africa. Currin has a strong background in computational neuroscience, holding a PhD from the University of Cape Town and having served as a NOMIS Fellow at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria. Previous positions include Data Engineer at NEUROLENTECH GmbH and Founder of With Intelligence, a consulting firm focused on AI and data science. Currin's contributions to education are evident through experiences as a demonstrator at the University of Cape Town and an AI Nanodegree mentor at Udacity.

We advance artificial intelligence’s capabilities. INAIT is a privately-held spin-out of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL)’s Blue Brain project. Leveraging the most advanced neuroscience research we have created digital models which extract the brain’s biological properties. We combine these insights with existing deep learning models to develop custom high-performance AI components.
