Vegard Aksnes

Vegard Aksnes is a highly experienced professional in marine civil engineering and research management, currently serving as a Senior Advisor at INAQ AS and owner of Vegaks Holding AS since May 2024. Since 2014, Vegard has also been an external examiner at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for master theses and the course TBA4265 in Arctic and marine civil engineering. Previously, Vegard led the SFI BLUES center at SINTEF Ocean from January 2017 to January 2024, managing extensive research initiatives in marine structures and operations. With a solid academic background, including a PhD in Marine Civil Engineering from NTNU, Vegard has held various roles from research scientist to research manager at organizations like MARINTEK, contributing significantly to the field of aquaculture and offshore hydrodynamics.
