Behraam Baqai has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Behraam started their career as a Student Security Officer at the University of Southern California Library Security in 2010. In 2011, they became an Intern at Glumetrics, Inc. and also worked as a Student Supervisor at the University of Southern California Libraries.

Baqai then joined the USC Underwater Autonomous Vehicle Team as a Mechanical team member. Behraam was responsible for redesigning a structural dropper mechanism and presenting the design at Critical Design Reviews. Behraam was actively involved in competing at the Navy-sponsored Robosub competition.

In 2013, Baqai took on a Design Intern position at Tenacore Holdings, Inc. Behraam designed a 2-part adapter between traffic cones and lamps and also worked on the design and analysis of a consumer product prototype.

In 2014, Baqai joined Medtronic Neurovascular (formerly Covidien NV/ev3) as a Development Engineer I. Behraam then moved on to become a Senior Research and Development Engineer, specializing in various aspects of product development, design transfer support, and project management. Baqai played a key role in multiple projects, including the development and commercialization of the Aspiration System, involving protocol writing, design validation, technical support, and ownership of post-market investigations.

In 2021, Baqai joined Inari Medical as a Senior R&D Project Engineer, where they currently work.
