Payam Saffari

R&d Principal Engineer at Inari Medical

Payam Saffari has extensive work experience in the medical device industry. Payam is currently working at Inari Medical as an R&D Principal Engineer, where they have successfully created a manufacturing line for Nitinol components, collaborated with various teams to address power and safety requirements, and supported multiple R&D projects. Prior to this, Payam worked at Edwards Lifesciences as a Staff R&D Engineer, where they conducted stress/strain analysis, developed manufacturing processes, and implemented test methods for Niti heart valve frames. Payam also has experience as a Sr. R&D Engineer at JenaValve Technology, Inc., where they supported the development and validation of transcatheter heart valve technologies and performed stress/strain analysis. In addition, Payam has research and teaching experience from their time at The University of British Columbia.

Payam Saffari completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Aerospace Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic in 2011. Payam went on to pursue a Master of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, completing it in 2013.
