Tuija Mikkonen

Tuija Mikkonen is currently serving as a Vapaa-aikasihteeri at the Municipality of Inari since April 2023. Prior to this role, Tuija worked as a Cycling Promotion Coordinator for the Network of Finnish Cycling Municipalities from April 2020 to April 2023. Tuija's extensive experience in the healthcare field includes serving as a Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and a Teaching Nurse in the Surgery Outpatient Clinic at the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa from September 2011 to March 2020. Tuija also completed a one-month internship at the UKK Institute Centre for Health Promotion Research in May 2017. Tuija's educational background includes two Master's degrees from the University of Jyväskylä in Sports Studies and Sports and Exercise Medicine, as well as studies at Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, and Diaconia University of Applied Sciences.
