Sean Hooper

Sean Hooper has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and engineering. Sean began their career as a Software Engineer at blinkbox music in 2013 and then moved on to become a Developer at Growth Intelligence®. In 2015, Sean worked as an IT Contractor at Virtosia before joining Playtech as a Senior Developer in 2016. Sean also worked at Incopro as a Contractor during the same year.

In 2017, Sean became a Machine Learning Engineer at VAIX LIMITED and later transitioned to become an ML Engineer at Spherical Defence Labs LLC in 2018. Sean held this role until 2019 and then took on another ML Engineer role within the same company. In 2020, Sean worked as a Data Platform Engineer at Pricesearcher.com for a short period before joining Altered Ltd for a longer tenure in the same role. Currently, they are employed as a Solutions Engineer at Inawisdom, starting in 2022.

Sean Hooper completed their education at Uppsala University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biology from 1993 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a PhD in Computational Biology at the same university from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their academic achievements, Sean Hooper has obtained several certifications. In February 2023, they earned certifications from Dataiku, including Dataiku Advanced Designer and Dataiku Core Designer. Sean also obtained the Dataiku ML Practitioner certification in February 2023 and the Dataiku MLOps Practitioner certification in March 2023. Sean Hooper's other certifications include the Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals, which they obtained in September 2022, and the AWS Certified Developer – Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certifications, which they acquired in February 2023 and August 2022, respectively.
