Carlos Schuler

Dr. Carlos Schuler, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder of InCarda. He was VP of Technical Operations at ForSight VISION5 and VP of Product Development at S.E.A. Medical Systems, Senior Director of Quality Engineering at Incline Therapeutics, Vice President of Operations at Talima Therapeutics, and Vice President of CMC at Anesiva. Previous to these roles, Dr. Schuler worked at Nektar Therapeutics for 11 years, where he worked in product development, business transformation, basic research, technology, and process development, and transfer to manufacturing operations for pulmonary drug delivery products. Before joining Nektar, Carlos worked in aerospace and high tech, leading several product development and technology development projects for laser-based instrumentation and the integration of computational and experimental methodologies in the optimization of complex systems.

Dr. Schuler earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Simon Bolivar in Venezuela, where he then taught graduate and undergraduate courses as a faculty member. Carlos received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in Mechanical Engineering. He is an inventor listed on 26 U.S. patents.
