Prashanti Madhavapeddi, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. From 2016 to present, they have been working at InCarda Therapeutics, where they started as a Consultant, Associate Director of Research. Prashanti later became the Associate Director of Research (Pre-clinical and Clinical) and currently holds the position of Director of Research.

Before joining InCarda Therapeutics, Prashanti worked at BIO Ventures for Global Health as a Senior Program Manager from November 2015 to May 2016. In this role, they focused on identifying and managing collaborations between company members and researchers in the areas of neglected tropical diseases, tuberculosis, and malaria. Prashanti also played a significant role in pipeline analysis of drugs and diagnostics in these disease areas and developed capacity building proposals for strengthening institutional research capacity in West Africa.

From 2007 to 2014, Prashanti worked at AstraZeneca. In various roles as a Senior Research Scientist, they led multi-disciplinary programs in science, strategy, and collaborations. Prashanti served as the Lead of the New Opportunities Team, responsible for evaluating external opportunities for the portfolio. Additionally, they were part of the Research Management Team, providing scientific steer for all projects. Prashanti also served as a Project Lead and Site Lead for the Biophysics, Structure, and Protein Supply Group, coordinating with colleagues worldwide. Prashanti was a core member of the Global AZ Team that evaluated external opportunities and established collaborations in the lead generation space.

Prior to their PhD studies, they obtained an M.Sc in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry Honours from Delhi University.
