Benoît Bayol has had extensive experience in various roles related to software engineering and data science. In 2006 and 2007, they completed internships as a research and development engineer at Inria. From 2007 to 2008, they worked as an IT consultant at Pôle Universitaire Léonard De Vinci. In 2008, they returned to Inria as a research and development engineer, focusing on designing and developing a multiplatform SDK for the DIGIPLANTE project. Benoît also started a prototype for a C++ library for modeling and simulating dynamical systems. From 2012 to 2016, Bayol worked as a PhD student at Université Paris-Saclay, working on mathematical models of plant growth. Their research focused on creating mechanistic models for predicting crop yield and reducing inputs. In 2016, they joined CentraleSupélec as a researcher and lead software engineer, where they worked on data-driven modeling, particularly in the field of biomedical data for cancer survival time prediction. Benoît also built a SaaS platform for running simulation and virtual experiments. Currently, Bayol is working at Incepto Medical as a principal software engineer and data scientist.
Benoît Bayol has a strong educational background in computer science and engineering. Benoît started their academic journey in 2003 at ESILV - Ecole Supérieure d'Ingénieurs Léonard de Vinci, where they pursued a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Calcul scientifique. After completing their undergraduate degree in 2008, Benoît further expanded their horizons by studying Chinese Culture and Language at ESAI in Shanghai, China for a year. In 2012, Benoît enrolled at Université Paris-Saclay, where they successfully obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science in 2016. With these qualifications, Benoît Bayol possesses a diverse educational background that combines technical expertise in computer science with a deep understanding of Chinese culture and language.
