Ian Chester CEng has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energy and power development. Ian started their career at E.ON UK as a Project Engineer and Development Engineer before moving on to roles such as Director of Projects & Execution and Power Station Manager at BP. Ian has also worked at Fichtner Consulting Engineers as a Director in the Power Sector, where their main focus was lender's technical due diligence.

Ian served as the Business Development Leader for Wind and Power at DNV, leading business development with utilities, developers, and lenders for UK Round 2 and 3 offshore wind projects. Ian also worked as the Head of Project Management Offshore Wind UK at Adwen Offshore, responsible for developing offshore wind project management capabilities.

Ian further expanded their expertise by serving as a Project Director at Tractebel - ENGIE Group, where they led business development and project execution in the power sector, including carbon capture and storage. Ian also worked as a Director at Boreas Energy Consulting and played a key role in the acquisition of a 12.5% shareholding in the Galloper Offshore Wind Farm.

Ian is currently working as a Commercial Manager at INCH CAPE OFFSHORE LIMITED, where they were seconded from ESB to develop a 1.1 GW offshore wind farm project in Scotland. Ian is responsible for the project's commercial aspects and is working towards financial close.
