Rod Horne is an experienced engineering manager, currently serving as an Engineering Manager at Inch Cape Offshore Limited since November 2022. Previously, Rod held roles including Lead Structural Engineer and Technical Manager at Saipem Limited from March 2018 to November 2022, and Lead Structural Engineer at BP from April 2010 to January 2018. Rod's career in structural engineering began as a Graduate Structural Engineer at John Brown Engineers & Constructors from 1991 to 1992, with subsequent positions including Chief Structural Engineer at Saipem and Principal/Lead Structural Engineer at AMEC. Rod's academic credentials include a Master’s degree with distinction in Structural Steel Design from Imperial College London and a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University.

The Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm, currently in late stage development, will see up to 72 turbines located 15km off the Angus Coast and connect to the National Grid at Cockenzie, East Lothian. Once complete, it will be one of Scotland’s largest single sources of renewables energy and power over 1 million homes with clean electricity. Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm is owned by Inch Cape Offshore Limited, an equal joint venture between Edinburgh based renewable and sustainable energy company, Red Rock Power Limited and Ireland’s leading energy company, ESB.
