John Hughes is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Inclusion Connections, focusing on advocacy, education, and conversation to bring attention to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. Prior to this role, John held executive positions in various healthcare organizations, including being a Group CEO at Discovery Behavioral Health, a CEO at Landmark Hospitals, and a CEO at Post Acute Medical. John has a background in healthcare administration, with a Master of Science in Leadership from the University of Arkansas Grantham and a Bachelor of Arts in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Ottawa University.

Inclusion Connections is a Kansas City nonprofit that serves individuals with developmental disabilities by creating access to meaningful employment, inclusive opportunities for community involvement and better options for independent living. Through our employment initiative, PawsAbilities we address the critical need for job skills training by creating the best dog treats in Kansas City! The program matches trainees’ skills and desires with real jobs in the community and continues to support individuals around job hours with additional training, plus fitness, arts and social opportunities
