Dawn Bennett-Alexander

Dawn D. Bennett-Alexander is an accomplished author and consultant specializing in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. With extensive experience in academia, Bennett-Alexander has served as an Emerita Associate Professor of Employment Law & Legal Studies at the University of Georgia since 1988, and previously held a similar position at the University of North Florida. As the owner of Practical Diversity LLC since 1983, Bennett-Alexander provides consulting services and has authored The Quilt Journeys Series Book One: The Wandering Quilt. Additional professional experience includes roles as an attorney with the Federal Labor Relations Authority, a teacher in the National Farmworker Paralegal Program, and various legal positions with the Federal Trade Commission, The White House, and the U.S. Department of Justice. Bennett-Alexander holds a Juris Doctor degree from Howard University School of Law.
