Kharena Keith Coleman

Kharena Keith Coleman has been working in the field of education for over 15 years. Kharena started their career as a teacher at the Academy of Inkster in 2006. Kharena then taught at the Detroit Edison Public School Academy from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they began working at Covenant House Academy, where they taught science until 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Title 1 Intervention coordinator at Ypsilanti Community Middle School. From 2015 to 2018, they were the coordinator of wellness and community partnerships at Ypsilanti Community Schools. In 2018, they began working as a program manager at the University of Michigan, where they are currently employed.

Kharena Keith Coleman has a Master of Education from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University. Kharena is also certified from IDI, LLC as an IDI Qualified Administrator.
