Michael Smith has over 20 years of experience in the field of engineering and facility maintenance. Michael began their career in 2000 at PepsiCo as an Operations Manager Gatorade, where they led a staff of 160 employees to drive functional efficiency across the largest PepsiCo bottling plant. Michael then served as Maintenance Business Unit Leader Frito-Lay and Facilities Manager Frito-Lay, where they navigated operations across the Casa Grande site, created action plans, implemented top-class maintenance labor utilization, and reduced inventory management. In 2013, Michael joined ABBOTT Corporation as Engineering & Facilities Maintenance, where they oversaw all activities relating to supervision, facility maintenance, and upgradation of facility building, including engineering, uniforms, site-wide recycling efforts, facility infrastructure management, high pressure boilers, air compressors, ammonia systems, and waste water compliance. Michael also steered a 5-year holistic capital planning process and conducted regular sample testing process to confirm soil and groundwater limits in conformance with EPA standards. Most recently, in 2022, Michael joined INCOG BioPharma Services as Technical Services Manager.
Michael Smith attended the University of Southern Illinois from 1993 to present, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management with a minor in Business Administration.
