Tom Florence

Tom Florence is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in asset management and investment firms. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Tortoise Capital since February 2024, Tom focuses on essential assets and cleaner energy transitions. Tom is also a member of the Board of Directors at Income Lab, enhancing retirement income management tools for financial advisors. Previously held roles include Managing Director at Hamilton Lane, Chairman & CEO at 361 Capital, and Managing Partner at Black Creek Capital. Tom's leadership experience spans multiple notable firms, including Morningstar and Fidelity Investments, where strategic growth and business development were key focus areas. Tom holds a KMI in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Penn State University.
