Alexandr Garaga CISSP, CISM, CISA

Alexandr Garaga has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and compliance. Alexandr is currently working as the Compliance Engineering Team Lead at InCountry since January 2020. Prior to that, from November 2017 to November 2019, they worked as an Information Security Analyst and Compliance Expert at Yandex.

In 2017, Alexandr briefly served as the Chief Information Security Officer at Poidem. Before that, from April 2016 to November 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer (crypto) at ARQA Technologies, where they developed and supported systems for cryptographic protection of financial applications.

Alexandr also has experience working at SAP, where they served as an Information Security and Privacy Research Assistant from April 2013 to December 2015. Alexandr had previously interned as an Information Security Researcher at SAP from October 2011 to February 2012.

Before joining SAP, Alexandr worked as a Software developer at Fortess from June 2008 to August 2010. Alexandr started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at Intel Corporation from May 2006 to May 2008.

Alexandr Garaga, CISSP, CISM, CISA has a strong educational background in computer science and physics. Alexandr obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) in the years 2003-2007. Following this, they pursued further studies and earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Università di Trento between 2010 and 2012.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Alexandr Garaga has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional expertise. Alexandr acquired the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in January 2022. This was followed by the Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA in June 2022. Alexandr also completed the AWS: Security and Compliance certification from LinkedIn in July 2022.

Furthermore, Alexandr Garaga has acquired extensive knowledge in the field of information systems auditing. Alexandr completed the "Prepare for the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Exam" course from LinkedIn in September 2022, and later obtained the actual Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA in March 2023.

Apart from these certifications, they have also completed various LinkedIn courses to enhance their skills and knowledge. These include "GDPR Compliance: Essential Training" in June 2022 and "DevOps Foundations" in September 2022.
