Sudhir Kumar is currently serving as the Professor-In-Charge and Secretary at Incubation Centre IIT Patna. Prior to this role, Sudhir was an Associate Professor at Indian Institute of Technology, Patna and an Assistant Professor at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. Sudhir also worked as a Scientist at Innovation Lab in Tata Consultancy Services and was an Erasmus Mundus Fellow at University of Oxford. Sudhir holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Signal Processing and Communication Networks from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

The Incubation Centre (IC), IIT Patna is an INR 47.10 Cr project associated with the Make In India initiative funded by Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeITY), Government of India and the Government of Bihar. The Incubation Centre is focussed on ESDM with special focus on Medical Electronics. The Incubation Centre at IIT Patna will contribute to the ESDM growth story of India.
