J. Stewart New is a Principal Investigator in Antibody Discovery at Incyte since September 2022, following a diverse academic and research background. Previous roles include Instructor and Postdoctoral Research Associate at UAB School of Medicine from May 2017 to September 2022, and Graduate Student Research Assistant at UAB Graduate School from August 2011 to May 2017. The research focus during the Graduate Student tenure involved evaluating the protective efficacy of immunization through oral delivery of recombinant vaccine antigens generated in transplastomic plants. J. Stewart New earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida in 2011.
