John Guan

John Guan, PhD, is a seasoned immunology researcher with extensive experience in developing novel assays and validating therapeutic targets for cancer treatment. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Investigator at Incyte since September 2020, John leads a group focused on innovative cell-based and high-throughput screening assays for therapeutic antibodies and small molecule drugs. Prior to this, John held significant roles at GSK, where leadership of the Target Validation Group led to the successful selection of a clinical trial candidate, and at Endocyte, where contributions included the development of assays for anti-cancer drug conjugates. John's earlier career included positions at Nestlé and Pfizer, where expertise in immunology and assay development was further refined. John earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Peking Union Medical College.
