Jane Scanu has a diverse work experience, having held roles in Human Resources, Consulting, and Research. Jane began their career in 2014 as an Office Manager/Inventory Analyst at Diversified Metal Fabricators, INC. In the same year, they were a Research Consultant at DemandEngine. In 2013, they were a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Project Manager at University of Wisconsin-Stout Parking Services, as well as an Impact Assessment at HandsOn Twin Cities and a Wellness Plan Evaluation at Menomonie School District. In 2015, they were a Human Resources Generalist/Safety Coordinator at Monroe Truck Equipment and Modifications. From 2016 to 2020, they held various roles at Employee Benefits Corporation and Indeavor, including COBRA Department Supervisor, Product Specialist - HSA & Debit Card, Enrollment Data Specialist, Implementation Consultant, and Senior Manager. In 2014, they were also a Consulting Intern at MDA Leadership Consulting.

Jane Scanu obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater between 2002 and 2007. Jane then obtained a General Industrial Safety certification from OSHA in 2006. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Applied Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout between 2012 and 2014.
