Catherine Thibedeau

Catherine Thibedeau has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Catherine currently works as an ICF/IID Consultant for ANCOR since January 2020. Prior to this, Catherine served as the Executive Director for Independence Advocates of Maine, Inc. since January 2000. Before that, they worked at Treats Falls House, where they held multiple positions including AIT, QIDP, and Developmental Training Coordinator from March 1997 to December 1999. Catherine also worked as an Elder-At-Risk Worker at Minuteman Home Care from 1995 to 1996, and as a Case Manager at Comprehensive AIDS Program from 1993 to 1995.

Catherine Thibedeau attended the University of South Florida from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Catherine also obtained a certification as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator from the State of Maine in 2000.

Since 1977, Independence Advocates of Maine has been providing innovative and dynamic supports to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Independence Advocates of Maine began in 1977 as a private, non-profit (501c-3) organization known as Treats Falls House. Through the years, we have expanded our services in order to make Maine a better place for people with disabilities to live. Though the corporate name has changed, our commitment remains the same; to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by promoting independence, health, community inclusion, family ties and natural supports.
