Executive Vice President, General Counsel And Corporate Secretary at Independence Blue Cross

Thomas Hutton's work experience begins in 1992 when they worked as an Associate at Wix, Wenger & Weidner, P.C., specializing in business and corporate law. Thomas then moved on to work as Deputy General Counsel at the Pennsylvania Governor's Office of General Counsel from 1996 to 2000. Following that, they joined Independence Blue Cross as Senior Counsel from 2000 to 2006. Hutton then became General Counsel at Pentec Health, Inc. in 2006 before returning to Independence Blue Cross in 2007, where they held various roles including Associate Deputy General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, Vice President of Government Affairs and Deputy General Counsel, and eventually Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Finally, in 2023, Hutton became the Chief Executive Officer of AmeriHealth Caritas.

Thomas Hutton began their education in 1985 at the University of Notre Dame, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and International Studies. Thomas completed their undergraduate studies in 1989. In the same year, Hutton enrolled at Penn State Dickinson Law, where they studied law and obtained their JD degree in 1992.
