Jean Minkel serves as the Senior Vice President of Rehabilitation Services at Independence Care System since September 2001, managing rehabilitation services and custom rehab technology for adults with physical disabilities in New York City. Additionally, Jean Minkel is the President of Minkel Consulting, which provides educational and consulting services to the Assistive Technology team, including consumers, therapists, suppliers, manufacturers, and payers. Prior to these roles, Jean Minkel held the position of Director of Seating and Mobility at Helen Hayes Hospital from August 1987 to March 1993. Jean Minkel holds a Master of Arts in Physical Therapy from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Colby College.
