Laura Allison

Director, Financial Aid at Independence Community College

Laura Allison has worked at Independence Community College for 7 years in the Financial Affairs department. She has been the Director of Financial Aid for 6 years. As Director of Financial Aid, she is responsible for the proper and equitable administration of Title IV Federal Student Aid, institutional aid and outside aid. In addition to overseeing all student aid, she is accountable to ICC and its students in ensuring the Office of Student Financial Aid provides excellent service to its students, staff and community.

Laura received her Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2012, graduating with special certification in Trial Advocacy. She graduated from The University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2009. Prior to working in Higher Education, she practiced law in the State of Kansas; working in general private practice.
