Derek White

Derek White has extensive experience in various roles within the healthcare industry. Derek started their career in 1998 as a Staff Physical Therapist at the Biomechanics Clinic and later worked as a Staff Physical Therapist at Crump Rehab from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they became a Founding Partner and Senior Vice President at Independence Rehab, where they specialized in increasing the quality of care and outcomes. In 2014, Derek joined Cascades Healthcare as the Chief Communications Officer, Founding Partner, and Board Member, providing strategic-planning, managerial, and communications support. Derek also has various partnerships and board memberships in companies such as BRP Healthcare, Compassionate Community Care, Bridges Community Homecare, and Envision Home Health and Hospice. Prior to their healthcare career, Derek worked as a Partner Sales Manager at Touch America and Qwest Communications, and also owned FoxFire Films and FoxFire, Inc. in the 1990s.

Derek White pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Brigham Young University. Derek attended this institution from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they enrolled at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and obtained a Master's degree in Physical Therapy, completing their studies from 1994 to 1997.
