Angela Champagne J.d.

Angela Champagne, J.D. has extensive work experience in the field of human resources and employee experience. Angela currently serves as the SVP Chief HR Officer at Independent Bank since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Sr. Segment HR Director at Huntington National Bank from June 2021 to November 2021. From August 2019 to June 2021, they held the position of Sr. Director of Employee Experience at TCF Bank. Before that, they served as the Director of Employee Experience at Chemical Bank from November 2016 to August 2019. Angela also worked as an HR Business Partner at Talmer Bank from September 2015 to November 2016, and as Director of HR Services at Talmer West Bank from January 2014 to September 2015. Prior to their roles in the banking industry, Angela worked at Capitol Bancorp from July 2007 to December 2013, serving as both the Director of HR Services from March 2013 to December 2013 and the Director of Communications from July 2007 to March 2013. Angela began their career as a Corporate Counsel at Capitol Bancorp Limited from January 2007 to July 2013.

Angela Champagne, J.D. obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing from Grand Valley State University. Angela attended from 1997 to 2000. Following their undergraduate studies, Angela pursued their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Litigation at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. Angela successfully completed their law program from 2002 to 2006.
