Kathleen Russ

Kathleen Russ is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership and governance across various sectors. Currently serving as Chair of England Hockey and as a Non-Executive Commissioner for the Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery, Kathleen also holds roles as a NED and trustee at British Universities & Colleges Sport and as a Council Member at JUSTICE. Previously, Kathleen was a Senior Partner at Travers Smith from July 2019 to June 2023, where responsibilities included chairing the Audit Committee and Diversity & Inclusion Board, along with participation in the Remuneration Committee. Kathleen's earlier experience at Travers Smith included serving as Partner and Head of the Tax Department. Additionally, Kathleen was a Non-Executive Director for the Office of Tax Simplification from October 2016 to December 2022. Kathleen Russ holds an MA in History from the University of Oxford, earned between 1986 and 1989, and is recognized as a specialist in M&A and private equity.
