Lesley Gallinger has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various companies and roles. Lesley is currently serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) since May 2021. Prior to this, in 2019, they held the same position at Elexicon Energy Inc. before transitioning to IESO. Lesley has also held leadership positions such as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Blue Pier™ in 2016 and VP of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs & CFO at Oakville Hydro Corp from 2006 to 2011. Lesley Gallinger earned a BA in Political Science from York University in 1988. Lesley then went on to complete an MBA in Finance at the Schulich School of Business - York University from 1988 to 1991. In 1991, they obtained a CPA, CMA from CPA Ontario. Lesley also received a CPA in Accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004. Lesley furthered their education in Corporate Governance, earning a C.Dir, A.C.C. from McMaster University from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, Lesley attended the MIT Sloan School of Management to study Corporate Strategy. Additionally, in 2012, they completed the Rotman-ICPM Board Effectiveness Program for Pension and Other Long-Horizon Investment Institutions at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
