Melani de Lima

Melani De Lima is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and global market management within the energy sector. Currently serving as Global Market Manager for South Africa at Independent Energy Pool since November 2022, Melani has previously held positions as a Research Analyst at RESA Group from September 2017 to January 2023, and as a Researcher at both the Global Risk Governance Programme and the Centre of Criminology at the University of Cape Town from 2011 to 2017. Melani's academic qualifications include a PhD in Criminal Justice and an MPhil in Criminal Justice from the University of Cape Town, as well as a degree from the University of Pretoria.
