Nysha King

Nysha King serves as the Director of Marketing and Communications at the Independent Institute since 2024, leading efforts to enhance brand awareness and audience engagement across seven research program centers focused on social and economic solutions. Currently a contributing writer for Forbes Communications Council, Nysha produces thought leadership articles on PR and communication best practices. Previously held the role of VP, Marketing & Communications at Healthmonix from 2019 to 2023, managing integrated marketing and communications for healthcare IT solutions. Nysha's experience also includes serving as Director of Public Relations at MRINetwork and various consultancy roles in PR and communications. Early career positions included Communications Director at Millennium Surgical Corp. and Communications Manager at Certified Contractors Network. Nysha holds a Bachelor of Arts in French and Sociology from Dickinson College and a Master of Arts in Strategic Public Relations from The George Washington University.
