Jose R. Ponce de Leon is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software and cloud solutions architecture. Currently serving as a Cloud Solutions Architect at Kroger since July 2021, Ponce de Leon also holds a position as a Software Architect at the Independent Purchasing Cooperative since August 2017. Previous roles include Sr. Software Engineer at Beckman Coulter, Software Engineer/Cloud Engineer at RocketOwl Inc., and Senior Software Engineer/Consultant at the Department of National Defence, where significant contributions to application development and infrastructure engineering were made. Ponce de Leon has a solid foundation in software development from various organizations, including HID Global and iSite Technologies Corp., and began the career as a Network Engineer/Software Engineer at CIMEX S.A. Ponce de Leon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cienfuegos, where engineering and simulation applications were developed early in the career.

IPC was incorporated in September 1996 to serve as the purchasing and services cooperative for Subway® Franchisees in the United States and Canada. Created through the cooperative efforts of the Subway® Franchisees, it is a model of what can be achieved through a strategic approach to services, supplies, equipment, logistics, information and supplier relations in a multi-billion dollar food service business.
