Chad Cowan

Chad Cowan has extensive work experience in the field of safety and health compliance. Chad has served as the Corporate Safety and Health Director at Independent Stave Company since 2017, overseeing safety and health compliance for multiple facilities and leading various initiatives such as the development of a behavior-based safety program that resulted in a significant decrease in injury rates. Prior to that, they held positions as the Director of Safety and Security at Holiday World & Splashin' Safari, Production Safety and Health Specialist at Owensboro Municipal Utilities, EHS Manager at Gibbs Die Casting, HR/Safety Manager at Hunter Douglas, HR Manager at Toyota Boshoku America, HR/Safety Manager at Sea Ray Boats, HR/EHS Manager at Daicel Safety Systems America, EHS Manager at Daramic LLC, and Safety Consultant/Project Manager at Safety and Environmental Training (SETI).

Chad Cowan completed their high school education at Marshall County HS from 1985 to 1988. Chad then attended Murray State University from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Safety and Health.
