Lou Ritter, GA-ACEM, has extensive work experience in the field of emergency management and planning, spanning over three decades. They began their career in the military, serving in the US Army as a Chemical Operations Sergeant from 1983 to 1992. After that, they worked as an Emergency Preparedness Planner at the Florida Department of Health from 2002 to 2008, followed by a role as a Management Analyst at the Florida Division of Emergency Management from 2009 to 2013.

In 2013, Lou joined the West Virginia National Guard as a CBRNE Planner (Civ. Contractor), where they worked until 2017. Most recently, Lou worked at OBXtek as a Joint Event Life Cycle Planner from July 2021 to November 2021, and is currently employed at Indev as a Cyber Exercise Planner starting from November 2021.

In 1986, Lou Ritter attended the U.S. Army Missile Munitions Center, where they studied Technical Escort. Between 1990 and 1991, they attended Pikes Peak State College, majoring in General Studies. Lastly, Lou Ritter was enrolled at American Military University until 2020, though the field of study and degree obtained are not specified.
