George Shimanovich

George Shimanovich has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering and development. George is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Index Engines since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at IEX Cloud as a Staff Software Engineer from 2022 to 2022. George also has extensive experience at Index Engines, where they held the role of Principal Software Engineer from 2008 to 2022. Before that, they worked at CommVault Systems as a Senior Member of Technical Staff and Software Engineer from 2000 to 2008. George also has experience at ION Networks as a Staff Engineer from 1999 to 2000. Earlier in their career, they worked at Tivoli/IBM as an Advisory Programmer from 1996 to 1999, at ECI Telecom as a System Engineer from 1993 to 1995, at IBM as a Software Consultant from 1991 to 1992, at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as a Software Engineer from 1989 to 1991, and at Scientific Research Institute (ENIMS) as a Software Engineer from 1983 to 1989. Throughout their career, George has been involved in various software development projects and has gained expertise in areas such as network management, CAD systems, and software translation.

George Shimanovich attended Moscow State Technological University from 1978 to 1983, where they earned a Master's degree in Electrical-Mechanical Engineering.
