Andrew Freiday has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Andrew started their career as a Web Developer at Micro Alternative Solutions from August 2006 to April 2009. Following this, they established their own Independent Consulting business in February 2006, providing web application development and consulting services to SMBs until December 2015.

In April 2009, Andrew joined refreshtek as the Director of Technology. Andrew oversaw the design, installation, and maintenance of internal networks and systems, managed company strategies involving technology acquisition and use, and developed an internal ERP system using PHP and MySQL. Andrew continued in this role until April 2012.

Andrew then joined Renaissance Learning in May 2013 as a Senior Software Developer. Andrew quickly gained senior-level skills in application and service development and took on additional responsibilities such as running team meetings, conducting retrospectives, and hosting sprint exits. During their tenure, they contributed to the development of an embeddable student quizzing/testing platform using C#, AngularJS, and SQL Server, which was designed for universal use across different product lines. Andrew remained with Renaissance Learning until August 2019.

Most recently, Andrew has been working at Index Exchange. Andrew started as a Software Engineer III in November 2019 and progressed to the role of Software Engineer IV in March 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Engineering Lead Manager, starting in February 2022.

Overall, Andrew has accumulated extensive experience in web development, consulting, technology leadership, and software engineering throughout their career.

Andrew Freiday attended the University of Guelph from 2004 to 2005, where they pursued a degree in Computer and Information Science. Following this, they attended York University from 2006 to 2009, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Information Technology.
