Chris Kaknevicius

Chris Kaknevicius has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Their most recent role was as Vice President, Engineering at Index Exchange, where they led a team of over 200 engineers and focused on aligning the engineering organization with the company's business strategy. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director, Engineering at the same company, where they provided leadership to the Client Side division and worked on improving Agile mindset and processes.

Before their time at Index Exchange, Chris worked at PointClickCare as Engineering Director, Tools, where they were responsible for driving software quality and test automation strategy. Chris also managed the development and integration of AccuMed software products and teams. Prior to that, they held the role of Manager, Product Development & Quality Automation at PointClickCare.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked at IBM as a Product Manager and Offering Manager, where they focused on IBM Smart Business and IBM Lotus Foundations respectively. Chris also held the position of Software Engineering Manager at IBM Lotus Foundations Business Systems.

Chris also has experience at Net Integration Technologies as an Engineer, Engineering Lead, and Software Engineering Manager. Chris worked at Outward Web Solutions and Digital Canvas Graphics as a Software Engineering Consultant, and at Forefront Graphics Corporation as a Software Engineer. Their first role was as an Assistant Network Administrator at Samuel, Son & Co., Limited.

Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated a strong focus on driving organizational growth, establishing a data-driven engineering culture, and promoting Agile processes and best practices. Chris has a comprehensive background in software quality, test automation, and product management.

Chris Kaknevicius completed their Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Software Engineering from the University of Toronto from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, they attended St Joe's, although no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period.

In addition to their formal education, Chris obtained a certification in Agile Estimating and Planning from Front Row Agile in April 2015.
