UX Research Specialist And Product Designer at Index Exchange

Kristen Morith has a diverse work experience in various roles related to product and interaction design, UX design, and urban planning. Kristen started their career as a Freelance Graphic Designer for the Victorian Society New York before transitioning to transportation planning and design at BA Consulting Group Ltd. Kristen then worked as a Graduate Intern at the New York City Department of Transportation, where they were involved in street design projects. Kristen later joined Brook McIlroy as a Senior Planner, focusing on urban design guidelines and university master plans. Kristen then joined Spectrum Traffic Data Inc., where they led the redesign of a B2B customer portal as a Product Designer and UX Specialist. Kristen also has experience as a UX Designer for BikeSpace, where they developed a web app for reporting bike parking issues, and as a Team Lead and Lead Designer for the Vision Zero Challenge Hackathon. Most recently, they have been working as a Product Designer at Index Exchange. Additionally, Kristen has participated in a 6-month long unpaid fellowship at Civic Hall Toronto, continuing to develop a hackathon project as a Team Lead and Product Designer.

Kristen Morith has a diverse educational background. In 2003, they enrolled at Pratt Institute, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Communications Design, graduating in 2007. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, they attended Pratt Institute again, this time for a Master of Science (MS) degree in City and Regional Planning. In 2018, Kristen furthered their education by completing a User Experience and Product Design Intensive program at General Assembly Canada. Additionally, in September 2019, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) Level 1 certification from Scrum.org.
