Shailendra Gupta

Shailendra Gupta is an experienced banking professional currently serving as Assistant General Manager in the Infrastructure Group at India Exim Bank since July 2007, overseeing Development Partnership Administration projects for the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Previously held multiple senior roles at India Exim Bank, including Assistant General Manager in Business Development and Special Situations Group, where management of stressed assets in the Shipping and Oil & Gas sectors in India, UAE, Brazil, and Indonesia was a key responsibility. Shailendra also contributed to India's first successful enforcement of ship mortgage under the Merchant Shipping Act and managed significant credit functions in the Corporate Banking Group. Earlier experience includes a role in Corporate Finance and Accounts at Vardhman Textiles. Educational qualifications comprise a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance from the National Institute of Bank Management, a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers designation, and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Panjab University, alongside various other financial management and accounting certifications.
