A senior partner at INDIALAW, Shiju specializes in the field of foreign investment, corporate transactions, real estate, infrastructure and project finance. Currently involved in various large-scale corporate, real estate and infrastructure projects, he heads 3 practice areas of the Firm: Corporate, Foreign Investment and Funds.

He advises on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions including private equity investment, M&A and joint ventures. Covering all aspects of corporate transaction including strategy, structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, he represents investors, funds, investees, promoters, acquirers, targets, etc. He also advises on setting up and structuring of India-focused investment funds in various jurisdictions.

Shiju has in-depth experience in Real Estate, handling complex transactions and projects. He advises on development projects, land acquisition and obtaining various approvals such as SEZ, CRZ, NA permission, etc. He has experience in representing developers, promoters, investors and landowners. He also extensively advises corporate houses on acquisition of properties, commercial units, warehouses, etc. across the country.

With a profound knowledge and expertise in handling infrastructure and project finance transactions, Shiju has advised various government bodies such as the Planning Commission, NHAI, etc. on concession agreements, PPP Projects, EPC contracts, bidding process and documentation. He was a senior member of the legal team involved in drafting Model Concession Agreements for Greenfield Airports and Hospitals for the Planning Commission of India. He actively advises infrastructure companies on bidding and project documentation as well as financial institutions and infrastructure companies on project finance transactions.
