Sumit Urhe is a Scientist at ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana, beginning in July 2023, following a short tenure in orientation training at the same institute. Prior to this role, Sumit completed probationary training as part of the Agricultural Research Services (2021) batch at ICAR-NAARM from April to July 2023, and gained field experience through training at the ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering in May and June 2023. Previous experience includes an internship with Mahindra Rise in early 2017 and student trainee positions at Dilasa Janvikas Pratishthan and Popular Steel Works Private Limited in 2016 and 2015, respectively. Academically, Sumit holds a Ph.D. in Post Harvest Engineering and Technology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, as well as an M.Tech in the same field, and a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth.
