Amrita Ray

Amrita Ray has over 12 years of work experience in various roles and positions in the hospitality, communications, and media industries. Amrita is currently the Associate Director of Public Relations at Taj Hotels, where they have been working since 2023. Prior to this, they held a position as Marketing Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata from April to December 2022. From 2018 to 2019, they were the PR & Marketing Communications Manager at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. Amrita also worked at Marriott International from 2016 to 2018, where they held the positions of Marketing Communications Manager and Marketing and Communication Manager (Task Force). Before that, they worked at BMW India as Press & Corporate Affairs from 2015 to 2016. Amrita began their career in the hospitality industry as an Assistant Manager - Marketing Communication at The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they worked at The Park Hotels as a Public Relations Executive from 2011 to 2013. Amrita also has experience as a PR Executive at Nextgen Communication and as a Trainee Journalist at Hindustan Times. In 2009, they gained valuable journalism experience as a Trainee at NDTV, where they worked on political and feature stories.

Amrita Ray has a PG Certification in Digital Marketing & Communications from MICA | The School of Ideas. Amrita also completed their Post Graduation in Mass Communication from Jadavpur University in 2008-2009. Prior to that, they received their HONOURS in B. Com from Shri Shikshayatan School in 2003-2005. Amrita also completed their Class 12 in Commerce from Shri Shiksha Yatan.
