Sai Shankar has extensive work experience in the hospitality industry. Sai started their career as a Purchase Manager at Amarvilas Agro in 2000 and worked there until 2001. Sai then joined Taj Exotica Maldives as a Purchase Manager and was later promoted to Central Purchase Manager, overseeing procurement for both Taj Exotica Resort and Spa and Taj Coral Reef Resort. During their time there, they successfully centralized procurement contracts, resulting in significant cost savings. In 2005, they joined The Claridges Hotel New Delhi as Head Materials, where they centralized the majority of purchases for the hotel and achieved annual savings. Since 2007, Sai Shankar has been working for the Taj Group of Hotels, initially as Head Supplychain and Contracts and later as Materials Manager - Project for the North Region. In their current role, they are responsible for project procurement and has been recognized for their hard work.
From 2002 to 2003, Sai Shankar attended Osmania University, where they pursued a Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com). Their field of study included Cost Accounting, Income Tax, and M. Law.
